Job Description

• Direct and control all aspects of the HSE Department in Medan Complex (PT. Pacific Medan Industry, PT. Pacific Palmindo Industry, PT. Oleochem & Soap Industry).
• Control HSE activities under observation of agreed HSE standards.
• Ensure all HSE Departments in 3 factories in Medan Complex are well maintained according to established procedures.
• Responsible for the overall HSE planning, organizing, direction, and operation of HSE activities and personnel in 3 factories in Medan Complex.
• Ensure all HSE systems and procedures are well implemented in 3 factories in Medan Complex.
• Analyze, provide feedback, and report HSE information to all Operational Directors/General Managers in the 3 factories.
• Ensure effective communication, coordination, and information sharing as Chief HSE to all management teams and HSE Representatives in each factory.
• Work with each factory’s HSE representative in consultation with respective Operational Directors/General Managers to ensure timely and proper implementation of HSE action plans and activities according to Indonesian and HSE regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with management teams in all 3 factories to ensure all HSE findings are followed up and closed according to schedule.
• Maintain safety, continuous improvement, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness within the HSE department.
• Periodically report the progress of HSE programs and key issues of all factories to all Operational Directors/General Managers.
• Ensure safety committee meetings and HSE coordination are implemented and compliant in all 3 factories.
• Coordinate with HSE representatives to implement safety objectives or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Responsible for handling emergency situations and coordinating with other emergency response team members.
• Conduct and organize HSE training/workshops for the 3 factories.
• Identify HSE best practices from each plant and implement them across all locations.
• Control and monitor day-to-day activities and evaluate yearly performance appraisals of HSE superintendents and officers.
• Actively enforce and participate in the implementation of management systems such as SMK3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, HACCP, 5S, SNI, RSPO, and other programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Safety, or a related major preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience as Chief HSE/HSE Manager in the manufacturing industry.
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex findings clearly and effectively.
• Physically and mentally healthy.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, critical, analytical, and logical in approach to problem-solving.
• Highly motivated, strong team player, with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary.
• Computer literate (Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiar with the SAP system.
• Understanding of SMK3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, HACCP, 5S, SNI, RSPO, and other management systems.
• Willing to be placed in Medan – KIM 2.
